Work with our busy fishery cargo handling team in the Groningen harbor. This physically demanding role involves unloading fishing vessels, sorting cargo, and loading seafood onto refrigerated trucks for distribution.
Daily duties include operating manual and semi-mechanized unloading tools, stacking crates efficiently, inspecting fish boxes for damage or spoilage, and maintaining safe and clean dock areas. You will collaborate with vessel crew and logistics staff to ensure smooth handling operations.
The role requires standing, lifting heavy loads, and working outdoors in all weather conditions typical for the Groningen harbor. Shift schedules vary depending on ship arrivals, often beginning early in the day.
