Description

Our fishery cold storage facility in Groningen is seeking a cold storage assistant to help manage refrigerated seafood stock and maintain optimal storage conditions. This position is essential for preserving product freshness and quality.

Typical responsibilities include monitoring temperature controls, organizing seafood pallets, preparing orders for dispatch, reporting any storage issues, and assisting with loading and unloading refrigerated trucks. You will follow strict hygiene and safety standards daily.

The role requires working onsite in cold environments (around 0-4°C), manual handling of crates, and shift work including early mornings. Proper protective clothing is provided.

Requirements

• Basic English communication skills
• Ability to work in refrigerated environments
• Physical ability to lift and move up to 20 kg

• Valid EU work permit
• Previous experience in cold storage is an advantage but not required
