Description

Our sustainability-focused engineering firm in Haarlem is looking for an Energy Efficiency Engineer to assist in building retrofit projects. We specialize in energy audits, thermal insulation improvements, and HVAC optimization to reduce building energy consumption and carbon footprint.

The engineer will conduct energy assessments, generate reports with improvement recommendations, collaborate in designing retrofit solutions, and support implementation teams. Daily responsibilities include site visits, data collection, and client consultations to promote sustainable practices.

This is a full-time onsite position with flexible working hours based in Haarlem. We provide a collaborative work environment with access to sustainability tools and software.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Energy Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or similar
• 1-3 years experience in building energy efficiency or retrofit projects
• Knowledge of Dutch energy regulations and standards
• Proficiency in energy modeling software (e.g. EnergyPlus)
• Fluent English communication
• Ability to work onsite full-time in Haarlem
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• EU work authorization
