Description

We are a boutique hotel in Leiden known for our refined cuisine seeking a Senior Kitchen Assistant to support our head chef and culinary team.

Your responsibilities include preparing advanced ingredients, overseeing junior kitchen staff, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. You will assist in inventory management and help coordinate kitchen operations during busy service periods.

The role is physically demanding and fast-paced, requiring experience in a professional kitchen and a proactive approach. Shifts cover mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends.

We offer a senior-level hourly rate from €19.50 to €22.00, paid holidays, and opportunities to participate in culinary training and workshops.

Requirements

• 3+ years kitchen experience, preferably in a hotel
• Strong knowledge of food hygiene regulations
• Leadership or supervisory experience
• Good English communication skills
• Ability to work flexible shifts
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Physically fit for demanding kitchen environment
